Welcome to the 100th Episode of Unleashing the Champion within!
Thank you so much for journeying with me.
Today I am writing my blog as I return home from the Deborahs meeting in Washington, DC. This was a gathering of mighty Generals for this season. The mandate is to equip, testify and empower the Deborahs of the world.
Never before have I participated in such an assembly. Governmental, royalty, business and ministry generals all shared the mighty move of God in their respective countries and roles. I was encouraged and impassioned.
The common theme in every woman’s message was God is God, and He is moving across the world.
Yes, there is evil rising, but it cannot and will not ever supersede God’s miraculous move in the hearts of His people. And it is the people that make nations.
One of the speakers gave us 3 concepts that need to be understood. We must…
- Know Who We Are
- Know our Enemy
- Know the Voice of our Commander
In Judges 4, Deborah was a prophetess, judge and a mother to Israel. She knew who she was called to be, what she was called to do, and who were her people. She worked diligently at being a mother, a judge and guiding her people.
Then, suddenly a prophetic Word from the Lord came to her from Barak, the leader of the army.
“Behold, the Lord, the God of Israel, has commanded, ‘Go and march to Mount Tabor, and take with you ten thousand men [of war] from the tribes of Naphtali and Zebulun. I will draw out Sisera, the commander of Jabin’s army, with his chariots and his infantry to meet you at the river Kishon, and I will hand him over to you.’”
(Judges 4:7 AMP)
Deborah thought her life roles were complete, but everything changed with Barak’s response to the Word of the Lord.
“Then Barak said to her, “If you will go with me, then I will go; but if you will not go with me, I will not go.”” (Judges 4:8 AMP)
Deborah recognized the Voice of the Commander, GOD, in Barak’s response; and her answer was “YES GOD!”
Deborah received her promotion to GENERAL. Although, she was not expecting it God had prepared her for this sudden expansion.
How?
1. Deborah knew her identity, and she was faithful to the areas of responsibility God assigned to her. Each day she attended to the people, bringing God’s justice to the individual situations brought before her.
2. Deborah knew the enemy of her people, and their enemy was plainly trying to oppress, steal and destroy what God had planned for them.
3. Deborah knew the Voice of the Commander. When God spoke — Deborah RESPONDED IMMEDIATELY! She did not meander, she did not question she jumped up and went according to the Word of the Lord.
Just like Deborah, many of us are experiencing a sudden shift in our assignments. Are you sensing a shift in your assignment?
As I leave this gathering of Generals, I want to share with you what my suddenly is for this season.
I have heard from God to turn my focus more on raising up emerging leaders and coaching. Even though at this time I am not sure of the specifics of this assignment; I recognize that it has already begun.
To prepare for this growth, I am going to take a hiatus from my weekly blog and podcast. I will be replaying some of your favorites, so be sure to tune in and pick up on anything you might have missed or need reviewed.
I am looking forward to the expansion and promotion God has for me and you in this season and I would love to hear about your shift and expansion.
