Today I am sharing how we are designed to dream.

God is a dream giver and He is a dream fulfiller. His dreams designed for you are good and beneficial for you, for your family and your community.
God is inviting you to join with Him in dreaming big, extravagant dreams. Together, with God, you will discover the dreams and plans He wants to accomplish with you.
What are some of the dreams on God’s heart?
He dreams of you walking in your identity as a son or daughter
We find this truth in John 1:12, which I am paraphrasing;
All who believe in Jesus, fulfill the dream of God
by becoming who He created them to be
— sons and daughters —
As you step into your identity, your dreams awaken inside of you. A partnership forms between you and God to accomplish both yours and His Dreams.
You may be asking yourself, Is there difference between His dreams and mine?
This is a great question!
I want to share my understanding of God with you before I really knew God. I thought my relationship with God was more along the lines of an army private and his general — of course, God was the general. As a private, I was to obey orders. No questions asked — No discussion!
As I have come to really know and love God, I realized He is looking for relationship. Real relationship — which includes conversation, questions, and dreaming together. God shares His dreams with me — and yes, I share my dreams with Him.
God is asking what — what are you dreaming about? God wants us to create, to think, to imagine the endless possibilities in partnership with Him. God is inviting you to dream His dreams and He yours.
Last week, I asked you to write down one or two dreams you have. You can find last week’s Blog at www.cindy-stewart.com/Blogs.
This week I want you to share those dreams with God, if you haven’t already. Then ask Him, “What are you dreaming about?”
One of the keys of communicating with God is asking Him to talk to you. As you begin to sense Him sharing, write it down. Continue to talk to Him about your dreams and His, and spend the week reading your Bible. A great starting place would be 1 Kings 3. God visited Solomon in a dream and invited him to share his dreams. (You can read the rest of his story on page 17 of my book.)
