Season of Miracles ~ Part 1 ~ Inconvenient Miracles

Episode 66

Although we are entering into the Christmas season, for me, it seems like just yesterday it was August, and now suddenly I am preparing to close out the year. How about you, has time surprised you, too?

Before we get started, I wanted you to know I have a special announcement I will be making on December 10. Be sure to sign up on my website to receive the Announcement at Midnight, December 10!

Last year, during the Christmas season I released a series called Jesus Who? You can find the series on my website cindy-stewart.com.

This year I am continuing the tradition of releasing a new series called Season of Miracles. Together, we will discover the miracles, which have been made possible through our relationship with Jesus.

In Part One of our series, Season of Miracles, we look at the miracles that may come at an inconvenient time in our lives. Inconvenient sounds counter-intuitive — right? How could a miracle from God be an inconvenience?

But, it can —

5 Small Changes to Your Next Great Thing

Episode 65

What you do tomorrow —
depends on the steps you take today.
~ Cindy Stewart

Did you know if you implement these 5 Small Steps into your daily routine you will achieve your next great thing? It is true!

In my business, I help people discover their dreams and develop a blueprint to turn their dreams into reality. What I have discovered in working with others, and in my own life too, is the need of a framework for each day.

The framework provides structure and support for what we need to complete our 5 Small Steps each day. And the framework also prepares us for tomorrow by using the momentum from what we accomplished today.

Remember how we would draw a house as a child?

We would draw the floor, then two walls, and finally two sides of a roof. It took five lines to build our house.

The five lines it takes to draw our house equate to our 5 Small Steps in building our daily framework.

What are the 5 Small Steps in our daily Framework?

Small Changes Bring Great Things

Episode 64

Great things are not done by impulse,
but by a series of small things brought together.
Vincent Van Gogh

Take a moment and remember a great thing you have accomplished. Every accomplishment basically has the same framework. Ask yourself these questions:

— What was the first step I took to get started?
— What were some of the missteps?
— What were some of the victories?
— How long did it take to reach the goal?

My latest accomplishment is the completion of my third book, God’s Dream for Your Life, which is now published.

Here are my answers to these questions as I review my writing process.

Confidence to Risk

Episode 63

I am continuing with the series from my new book, God’s Dream for Your Life. Today, we will talk about Confidence to Risk.

This quote by T.S. Eliot will give you a little insight to the direction we are going today.

“Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.”

We are positioned for the impossible every day! This seems like a dramatic statement; nevertheless, it is true. Just as Jesus went around doing good, healing the sick, defeating the enemy, multiplying food, so can we!

However, there are risks involved to walk as Jesus walked on this earth. We have to risk stepping out of our comfort zone, practicing what we have learned and be willing to make mistakes.

One of the reasons this seems risky is because we are experimenting with something new. However, the more we practice taking risks each day releasing all that God has given us, the more we develop our ability to do greater things.

In John 14:12-14, Jesus shares how we can have confidence to risk doing the same mighty miracles He did.

Love and Obedience Brings Blessings

Episode 62

I am continuing with the series from my new book, God’s Dream for Your Life. Today, we will talk about how love and obedience brings blessings into our lives.

The following is from my book, God’s Dream for Your Life.

In John 14:23, Jesus told his disciples, “Loving me empowers you to obey my word…” (John 14:23 TPT). The word obey has a broader meaning than we understand. It is the Greek word tereo, which means to attend to carefully, take care of, to guard, to observe, to reserve.

I want us to recalibrate our thinking when it comes to obedience. I remember when I was growing up with my four siblings, when my dad told us to do something, we did it! And it was not because we loved him; it was because we feared him. So obedience was a form of survival! This whole concept of being empowered by love was foreign to me. Honestly, like many of us, our understanding of obedience to God stems from what we learned as children. I learned to equate fear with obedience!

Instead, God wants us to understand His perspective, which becomes clear when we understand the true meanings of the words obey or observe. He is asking us to keep, to guard, to take care of, to attend to carefully what He has asked.

Our ability to obey is powered by our love of Jesus, not our fear. And the more our love grows for Him, the greater our obedience grows.

God’s Dreams for Miracles

Episode 61

I am continuing with the series from my new book, God’s Dream for Your Life. Today, we will talk about how you can recognize, receive and release miracles.

God wants to release miracles to you and through you. His dream is that you will be able to recognize His miracle working power, receive the miracles you need, and release miracles to others in need.

In September, the Lord began speaking to me about this new season of miracles. He said we are stepping into an increase of miracles like we have never seen before. Are you ready?

Finding the Courage to Dream Again

Episode 60

I am continuing with the series from my new book, God’s Dream for Your Life. Today, we will talk about how to find the courage to dream again.

In my journey of traveling and speaking about my book, God’s Dream for Your Life, I have encountered many people who have given up on dreaming. There are a variety of different reasons why, some even would be considered valid reasons.

So, today I want to help you find the courage to begin dreaming again. And to open yourself up to new possibilities of hope for your future.

I want you to know why God has dreams for you. Here is an excerpt from my book that I think will help you to understand.

Actively Waiting on Your Dreams

Episode 59

I am continuing with the series from my new book, God’s Dream for Your Life. Today, we will dig into what “actively waiting” looks like as we “wait” for our dreams to be fulfilled.

Before we get started, I have a question to ask you.

God has BIG dreams & plans for your life —

Are you living them?

I have developed a quiz to help you identify where you are on your journey and what might be your next steps.

Quiz

To start this topic of the waiting for the dream, here is a quote from author and poet Sandra Cisneros.

“One press account said I was an overnight success.
I thought that was the longest night I’ve ever spent.”1

What dream are you waiting on?

These are a few from others who have shared with me:

  • Finding a Love
  • Discovering their Passion and Purpose
  • Clarity in the next step
  • Starting a business
  • Healing

Many times we can become weary as we are in the process of waiting, discouragement can begin to set in, hopelessness replaces our heart of expectancy — sometimes to the point we wonder if we should give up.

There have been times while waiting, I have wondered if the breakthrough would ever come. One particular time, I knew it was time to take the next step, but what I didn’t know was where the step was! I lacked clarity.

Has that ever happened to you?
