Actively Waiting on Your Dreams

Episode 104 ~ Enjoy this Replay of a Listener Top Pick

I am continuing with the series from my new book, God’s Dream for Your Life. Today, we will dig into what “actively waiting” looks like as we “wait” for our dreams to be fulfilled.

Before we get started, I have a question to ask you.

God has BIG dreams & plans for your life —

Are you living them?

To start this topic of the waiting for the dream, here is a quote from author and poet Sandra Cisneros.

“One press account said I was an overnight success.
I thought that was the longest night I’ve ever spent.”1

What dream are you waiting on?

These are a few from others who have shared with me:

  • Finding a Love
  • Discovering their Passion and Purpose
  • Clarity in the next step
  • Starting a business
  • Healing

Many times we can become weary as we are in the process of waiting, discouragement can begin to set in, hopelessness replaces our heart of expectancy — sometimes to the point we wonder if we should give up.

There have been times while waiting, I have wondered if the breakthrough would ever come. One particular time, I knew it was time to take the next step, but what I didn’t know was where the step was! I lacked clarity.

Has that ever happened to you?

How do we do “actively wait”?

God’s Dream for Your Wholeness

Episode 103 ~ Enjoy this Replay of a Listener Top Pick

Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well. John the Apostle, 3 John 2

Welcome to Unleashing the Champion Within. We are continuing our series from my new book, God’s Dream for Your Life.  Our focus for this episode is God’s dreams for wholeness in your life, specifically in your body.

I want to tell you a little about where I am now, a physical challenge I had, and the journey God took me on to wholeness. About a month ago I started thinking about the St. Anthony’s Meek and Mighty Triathlon that I had participated in many years ago. I trained every morning at 5 a.m. with two of my girlfriends. It was so much fun I decided to go to the next step.  So, I have begun training for the St. Anthony’s Sprint Triathlon 2019. The Sprint Triathlon consist of a 5K run, 750 meter swim and a 12 mile bike.

How did I get started?  I have always been somewhat athletic. In my twenties I played competitive tennis, ran and played a little golf. In the 90’s I really developed a passion for running and would run every day except Sunday. Then, I ran into a physical issue which forced me to quit running. Here is an excerpt from my book of what happened next…

Envisioning Your Future

Episode 102

Enjoy this Replay of Episode 91 ~ A Most Played Episode

I remember when I was kid, I dreamed of being a superhero! I would lay in the driveway in front of my house and daydream about what kind of superhero I would be. I would see myself flying in the air in my cute superhero outfit, rescuing and protecting others.

In many instances, the way we think things are going to look evolves as we grow up. Of course, what I envisioned for the future has changed dramatically from what I thought it would look like as a child. However, the passion to help others has not changed, it just looks different.

Envisioning your future…why is it important?

How do you begin?

“Have you ever thought about partnering with God for your dreams? What a thrill it would be to join forces with God to make your dreams come true? God is a dream giver and He is a dream fulfiller. Our dreams come alive as we spend time with the Lord. He unfolds things we think are impossible and they suddenly become possible!”

Let’s Get Messy!

Episode 101

Enjoy this Replay of Episode 90 ~ A Top Pick from Listeners!

Maybe you think about a mess as a Tough Mudder Obstacle Course, a pie eating contest, finger painting, or getting caught in the rain? Today, I am talking about a different kind of mess — I am using the word mess to describe when the things of God are out of our understanding or our control and appear to be messy. Let’s take a look at Scripture from Proverbs 14:4 in the Passion Translation:

“The only clean stable is an empty stable. So if you want the work of an ox and to enjoy an abundant harvest, you’ll have a mess or two to clean up!” Proverbs 14:4 TPT

What this is really saying is as we grow in relationship with God our experiences with Him can appear to be messy. The reason for this appearing to be messy is because we are seeing in part and not from the fullness of God’s perspective. It may sound strange, but there is a messiness in being open to the Holy Spirit. This appearance of messiness occurs because we only have glimpses of what God is wanting to do through us and for us so it appears to be a mess. But to God, it is beautifully and perfectly orchestrated. Read the Blog or Listen to the Podcast to find out more!

Sudden Expansion Podcast

Welcome to the 100th Episode of Unleashing the Champion within!

Thank you so much for journeying with me.

Today I am writing my blog as I return home from the Deborahs meeting in Washington, DC. This was a gathering of mighty Generals for this season. The mandate is to equip, testify and empower the Deborahs of the world.

Never before have I participated in such an assembly. Governmental, royalty, business and ministry generals all shared the mighty move of God in their respective countries and roles. I was encouraged and impassioned.

The common theme in every woman’s message was God is God, and He is moving across the world.

Yes, there is evil rising, but it cannot and will not ever supersede God’s miraculous move in the hearts of His people. And it is the people that make nations.

One of the speakers gave us 3 concepts that need to be understood. We must…

  1. Know Who We Are
  2. Know our Enemy
  3. Know the Voice of our Commander

Living in Your Sweet Spot

Episode 99

As I am writing this, I am watching the 2019 Women’s Tennis Finals at Wimbledon in England. Wimbledon is one of the five grand slam tournaments where only the most elite athletes are able to compete.

The two players, Serena Williams and Simone Halep have prepared every day to compete at this level. They have spent years training their bodies, with hours of practice, proper nutrition and working with coaches so this day could become a reality.

They are living in what I would call their sweet-spot.

What is a sweet-spot?

Declarations

Episode 98

Many years ago, I came across this Scripture in Job 22:28, “You will also decide and decree a thing, and it will be established for you;
And the light [of God’s favor] will shine upon your ways.”

Since that time, I love declaring the Word of God.

For when we declare the Word, several things happen.

1. When the Word of God is declared it requires a response, an answer. Isaiah 55:11 AMP says that when the Word of God is released, it accomplishes what was intended from the Word —

“It will not return to Me void (useless, without result) without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.”

2. The Word we declare becomes fixed in our life. It is established for us to live from.

3. The declared Word becomes our Light — Jesus! Jesus is the Word and Jesus is the Light of the World.

4. The declared Word becomes the path that opens the doors for you to step into and closes doors that are not for you. The Word brings clarity, discernment, and power as it responds to your declaration!

Why do I share this with you? Because I want the power of declaring the WORD to be in your hands. Here is how to do it.

Celebrating America

Episode 97

This week the United States of America will be 243 years old — Happy Birthday!  I am honoring America with a short story from my book, Insights for an Abundant Life, which is available to purchase on Amazon.

America, The Beautiful was written about our incredible nation. Kathleen Lee Bates originally wrote these words as a poem in 1895 in response to the beauty that captured her as she looked at the land below from the top of Pike’s Peak.

Woven within this patriotic song is a psalm of worship, praise, and prayer to God. The words lead us in acknowledging His beautiful creation, praising His great grace poured out upon us and praying for His refining fire for our great country.

We sing this song to You, Lord God. Hear the cry of Your people and heal this great nation, Mighty God!

Happy Birthday America!

What do you love about America?

Season of Generosity

Episode 95

Over the last month I have traveled to Atlanta and Minneapolis. I have met with some amazing people who are running hard after what God has for them in this season. One thing I have noticed with all of my travels is an increase of outpouring of generosity.

It has been interesting watching this overflowing generosity. And what is so amazing, it is not just one person expressing generosity, but almost everyone I encounter.

Read my Blog or Listen to my Podcast for my examples of what happened to me.

I believe generosity goes with the season we are in right now. There is an outpouring of the Presence of God in signs and wonders and this has stirred up a heart of generosity to go with it.

Have you recognized an increase in generosity?
